Great App
Very good app, thank you !
Very basic calendar app
Gives you the dates and holidays in a little window. Would be great if it synced with iCal, and also if it featured candlelighting times.

Thanks for the update, Avi! Intel support *and* incorporates the new calculations for Yom HaZikaron and Yom HaAtzmaut. What more could we ask? (Well, Israel Daylight Savings Time, I suppose.)
This is by far the best Jewish Calendar app out there. I have been using it since Cocoa came out, and so glad its available for Lion. Worth waiting for. I cant believe I spent money on an app that has typos in it.
This is a great, basic, free Jewish calendar. More streamlined than the alternatives - not gorgeous but eminently functional. Thanks for updating this for Lion!
I just downloaded the new version (2.1.3) since I recently migrated to Lion on my Mac - I have LOVED using this Jewish calendar - the old version - for the past ___ years (lots) and am looking forward to trying this one. However, why does the icon on my dock say 5771 when it is 5772??

Ive been using this for about 15 years now. Glad to see that its been updated for Lion. Ive stayed with Snow Leopard because it breaks some of my apps. Its nice that this is no longer in that category. Shalom
Anyone needing a Jewish calendar understands that the simplicity of this one has no use. How in the world is it useful enough for reviewers to say "I use it all the time?" For what, exactly? Its free, so enjoy.
It said it was an upgrade to be compatible to OS Lion. So, I knew it’d run on a 64 bit OS. I saw that others said it also works with Mountain Lion. So, I was hopeful that it would run on Mavericks. I downloaded & installed it with no difficulties. I have opened it, and looked up my DOB, and my daughter’s DOB. Both DOBs translated quickly, to the correct Jewish calendar dates. Yippee! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that it hasn’t been installed & running for any length of time.

This Jewish Calendar program displays the Gregorian calendar one month at a time and shows the Jewish calandar date for each day of the Gregorian calendar. For days which are Jewish holidays, the holiday is shown. It also shows parshiot. It is very good at what it is intended to do. The author rewrote the Jewish Calendar program in Swift using Cocoa UI elements to use 64-bit addressing and be compatible with macOS Catalina. At the same time he made a number of small (but much appreciated) improvements. In particular, the calendar window is now resizable and navigation to a desired date is easier.
Does just what is says very well
Nicely written and easy to use. Only concern I have is that I got a notice that it’s “not optimized for my Mac.” I assuem this means there’s some code that could run more efficiently if it was written differently. Let’s hope the developer continues to maintain the app as Apple continues to update the macOS.

New Version for Lion
